Job description

Sue Ross Recruitment is seeking a Sales Support Estimator to join one of the UK’s leading providers of electrical safety services. Based within the Surge Protection Team, you will play a key role in ensuring clients remain legally and electrically compliant by supporting the delivery of corrective electrical works identified during inspection and testing services.

This role focuses on generating and managing quotations, client communications, and administrative coordination to drive sales and ensure seamless project delivery.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support the delivery of departmental objectives in line with the overall company business plan.
  2. Prepare and issue Surge quotations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to clients.
  3. Amend existing quotations based on client feedback, updated requirements, or revised survey data.
  4. Manage sales leads received via phone, email, or CRM systems – ranging from single-site clients to facilities management groups.
  5. Use internal business software to gather necessary information for quoting and processing.
  6. Proactively follow up on issued quotes to aid conversion and maintain open communication with clients and account managers.
  7. Manage a call list and inbox for quote-related queries and follow-up, ensuring timely responses.
  8. Maintain accurate records by updating internal and client portals with order statuses, documentation, and notes.
  9. Liaise with customers and internal departments to resolve issues and facilitate smooth order processing.
  10. Assist with ad-hoc administrative and project support tasks as needed by the Sales or Operations team.
  11. Raise and process purchase orders in accordance with approved quotations and company procedures.
  12. Monitor and meet personal KPIs related to quotation turnaround and sales follow-ups.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a sales support, quotation, or operations coordination role, ideally within an electrical or technical service industry.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using business software systems and CRM platforms.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document preparation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work to tight deadlines.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, solution-focused attitude.
