Qualifications

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical products to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority quotes and orders simultaneously without losing track of details.
• Comfortable learning industry-specific POS and inventory software; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Desire to learn from experienced sales staff.
• Assist outside and inside sales representatives by preparing quotes, drafting professional proposals, and sourcing product data for client meetings.
• Greet and assist walk-in customers and handle phone inquiries regarding product availability, lead times, and order status.
• Develop a working knowledge of building materials to help guide customers toward the right solutions for their projects.
• Assist customers by preparing quotes, drafting proposals, and sourcing product data for client meetings.
• Accurately enter and process sales orders into the system, ensuring that delivery dates, product specifications, and pricing are exact.
• Process returns/credits, and assist with general office duties as needed.
