Mission Foods is looking for a talented Sales Specialists to support its Sales Force in the Tampa, FL area. This position reports to the Area Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

• Delivers racks and builds displays in ways that encourage customers to buy products.
• Prospects for new business. Sells products and incremental space/displays.
• Develops strong trade relationships with customers. Identifies service issues.
• Ensures Planograms (POGs) are utilized to increase customer purchases. Recommends how many products should be visible to the customer at a time, how high or how low the product should sit on shelving units and what related products should be on display nearby.
• Ensures sales tag integrity through inspection and proper placement. Checks for voids.
• Communicates back to Area Sales Manager and District Sales Managers daily and weekly.
• Identifies service issues and potential service issues.
• Keeps warehouses clean and maintained.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required, some college preferred. 2 Years of related experience in sales and/or merchandizing. Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above education/experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
• Work requires a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Candidate must live in the geographic area to ensure a reasonable commute and access to customers in the assigned district.
• Able to work flexible hours and days, including weekends as needed.
• Able to lift/move up to 40 pounds.
• Most of the work is in stores and some in the warehouse.
• English and Spanish strongly preferred.
