Reporting Line

This position reports to the District Sales Manager.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of Electrification Smart Buildings products within Richmond, VA, and surrounding areas, aligning with the division strategy. You will achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will identify and develop new sales opportunities.

This is a remote position; successful candidates should be located in the Richmond, VA metro area. You will contribute to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in the United States.

Main Responsibilities
  • Identify and track upcoming sales opportunities and influence customer specifications to favor ABB, increasing market share in commercial, industrial, and governmental segments.
  • Educate customers about differentiating products through technical presentations, introduce new products, and identify target customers.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers by providing customer feedback, identifying product gaps, and supporting new product launches.
  • Generate cross-selling leads and facilitate easier business transactions with ABB Industrial Solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; minimum 5 years of sales experience in large commercial construction and industrial projects, preferably in electrical products.
  • Experience working with electrical contractors and channel partners.
  • Knowledge of the electrical industry in the region and ABB products is preferred.
  • Proficiency with analytical software and sales tools; Salesforce.com experience is a plus.
  • Ability to apply Six Sigma methodologies; Six Sigma or similar quality training is advantageous.
  • Understanding of the full portfolio of products and services, including power distribution and installation products, is preferred.
