Job summary

O’Krent Floors in San Antonio, a locally owned flooring retailer with 110+ years of service, is seeking a flooring retail sales associate who shares our commitment to service, knowledge and an outstanding customer experience.

This full-time position offers commission-based pay, paid training, and the chance to grow with Texas’ largest showroom, with most Saturdays required and opportunities to visit customers at their homes.

Qualifications

• Commission-based position, performance-based pay.
• Experience selling/flooring design is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication required.
• Professionalism: dependable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store and at customers' homes as needed.
• Build and maintain client relationships with a focus on service quality.
• Stay up-to-date with product features using provided training materials.
• Follow up after project completion to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job description

We are the longest (110+ years) locally family-owned and operated flooring retailer, with the largest showroom in TX. From small tile backsplash projects to a complete carpet, vinyl or wood renovations; we strive to provide the best service, product knowledge & overall customer experience in the industry... and are looking for a flooring retail sales associate who shares those same core values

Skills Required:

• Highly self-motivated (commissioned position), organized and personable
• A passion for, or experience with selling and design (FLOORING RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE REQUIRED)*
• Excellent oral, written and computer communication skills
• Professionalism: to include dependability, accountability, and punctuality
• Access to reliable transportation in order to get to work, and to visit customers' homes**
• A willingness to work through, and follow-up after, the completion of each job**
• The ability to build and maintain client relationships**
• Use industry literature and available training resources to stay up to date on product features
