The Commodity Corporation in Dallas is building the GTM engine for an early-stage industrial technology company serving steel manufacturers. You’ll work directly with the founder to identify, reach, win, and grow manufacturing customers across Texas.
This generalist GTM role is not a traditional sales position; you’ll learn the entire commercial side and, as you prove success, gradually take on revenue responsibilities as the company scales.
The Commodity Corporation is building the industrial application layer for raw materials.
Our mission is to unlock America’s industrial capacity and make manufacturing faster, more resilient, and easier to build.
We’re starting with steel.
Today, getting steel is still largely powered by phone calls, emails, spreadsheets, brokers, and relationships built over decades. We’re building a new way for manufacturers to access and book production capacity directly at steel mills.
Three generations of our founder’s family have worked in steel. He grew up around mills and manufacturing floors. This isn’t a market we studied from the outside. It’s a system we were raised in, and now we’re building the technology to transform it.
We’re early, and we’re moving fast.
Within months of launching, we’ve begun running production for programs supporting Fortune 500's partnered with leading American steel mills, and moved hundreds of thousands of pounds of steel / week.
Now we’re on the ground in Dallas building the next phase of the company.
We’re looking for someone exceptional to build3 alongside us.
We’re hiring a GTM Associate to work directly with our founder and CEO in Dallas.
This is not a traditional SDR, Account Executive, or Account Manager role. It’s a GTM generalist role for someone who wants to learn the entire commercial side of an early-stage company.
You’ll work across prospecting, pipeline management, customer meetings, factory visits, quoting, follow-up, account management, and whatever else it takes to win and grow customers.
Some days we’ll be behind laptops building pipeline and working opportunities. Other days we’ll be driving across Texas, walking into factories, meeting owners and operators, and learning how they actually build things.
You’ll learn how steel is made, how manufacturers operate, how industrial companies buy, how deals get done, and how an early-stage company builds a sales engine from the ground up.
There isn’t a playbook waiting for you.
We’re hiring you to help us write it.
Build our GTM engine. Work alongside the founder to figure out how we identify, reach, win, and grow manufacturing customers, then help turn what works into a repeatable sales process.
Build and convert a world-class pipeline. Develop a deep understanding of the manufacturers we should be working with, find the right people inside those companies, open doors, and move opportunities from first conversation to factory visit to quote to production.
Know our customers deeply. Get inside factories. Understand what our customers manufacture, how they operate, what materials they consume, and where we can create meaningful value.
Turn what we learn into a repeatable system. We’re developing our GTM motion in Dallas before taking it into other manufacturing markets. Help us understand what works and turn those lessons into the systems and playbooks future GTM teams can execute.
Grow into someone who can own revenue. Start by working closely alongside the founder, then progressively take ownership of prospecting, customer relationships, accounts, new business, and eventually revenue yourself.
We’re looking for someone early enough in their career to be incredibly hungry, but experienced enough to know how to operate professionally.
Ideally, you have 2–4 years of professional experience in sales, business development, account management, operations, logistics, manufacturing, or another customer-facing environment.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a major plus.
This is an intense job.
We’re building an early-stage company, and we’re moving quickly. This is not a 9-to-5 sales role where you inherit a territory, execute a mature playbook, hit your activity numbers, and go home.
There will be long days. There will be a lot happening at once.
There will be days behind a laptop building pipeline and preparing quotes, and days driving across Texas visiting factories and meeting customers. Plans will change. Opportunities will appear unexpectedly. We’ll learn something on Tuesday that changes what we’re doing on Wednesday.
You’ll work directly with the founder, which means you’ll have an unusual amount of exposure, responsibility, and opportunity to learn.
It also means expectations will be high.
We’re looking for someone who wants that. Someone who wants responsibility before they necessarily feel ready for it. Someone who would rather spend the next few years learning at an unreasonable rate than optimizing for comfort.
You won’t be joining a sales machine.
You’ll be helping build one.
The trajectory will depend on how quickly you learn and how much ownership you earn.
We’re early enough that the person who joins us now will have a real hand in defining how this company grows.
If you’re looking for a predictable sales job with a narrow lane and an established playbook, this isn’t it.
If you want to learn incredibly fast, sell something real, spend time inside American factories, and help build the commercial engine behind a new generation of American manufacturing, we want to meet you.
