Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in California seeks an experienced Order Processing Assistant to join a busy operations team. You will process customer orders in SAP, coordinate with sales, brokers and logistics, and maintain accurate pricing, promotions, and inventory data.

Support the Sales team with spreadsheets, reporting, and historical order data while keeping customer profiles and audit files up to date.

Qualifications

• Experience processing orders in a service capacity environment with customers.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and email; SAP experience preferred; high data-entry accuracy.
• Working knowledge of inventory, production and supply chain processes.
• Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or processing facilities (food/agriculture) preferred.
• Strong verbal/written/electronic communication; able to meet deadlines and priorities.
• Confidentiality of privileged information; bilingual a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and monitor customer orders in SAP, ensuring accurate pricing, promotions, inventory, master data, delivery, and invoicing.
• Communicate with customers, brokers, and sales teams to resolve order issues and respond to inquiries.
• Monitor daily reports and identify issues related to order fulfillment, delivery dates, pricing, promotions, and inventory.
• Provide administrative support to the Sales team, including spreadsheets, reporting, and historical sales/order data.
• Maintain customer profiles, order records, and audit files with accurate account and product information.
• Provide information on production schedules and inventory levels and assist with department coverage and cross-training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Skills:

• Experience processing orders in a service capacity environment involving successful interface with commercial based customers.
• Intermediate skill level in the proficiency of using a personal computer, Word, Excel, and e-mail system. Prefer SAP experience. Data entry with high level of accuracy.
• Working knowledge of inventory, production and supply chain processes.
• Prefer experience with manufacturing, logistics and/or processing facility, food or agricultural industry.
• Ability to communicate effectively via verbal, written and electronic manner.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to successfully prioritize.
• Ability to maintain and respect confidentiality of privileged information.
• Strong attention to detail
• Bilingual preferred.

Education and Experience:

• Must be able to multi-task.
• Requires strong time management skills.
• Must pass post-offer, pre-employment testing, including: background check & drug screen
• Experience working with spreadsheets.
