Exempt (Not Eligible for Overtime) — This position is classified as Exempt under the FLSA outside sales exemption, as the primary duty involves making sales and soliciting orders away from the employer's place of business.
Full-time — Schedule as required to meet territory and customer service demands; may include evenings, weekends, and attendance at community and industry events.
This position carries no supervisory responsibility.
The Ready Mix Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing customer relationships within assigned territories to drive revenue growth and ensure long-term client retention. The position encompasses the full sales cycle, including prospecting, quoting, order management, and post-sale service, with a focus on ready mix concrete, aggregate, block products, and related offerings. The Sales Representative serves as the primary point of contact between Chaney Enterprises and its customers, vendors, and community partners, representing the organization's commitment to quality and service excellence. This role directly contributes to the company's market position and operational performance through disciplined territory management, accurate reporting, and proactive problem resolution.

High school diploma or GED required. A college degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position.
Outdoor Work
Regular exposure to outdoor conditions including active construction sites, quarry environments, and customer job sites
Weather Exposure
Work may be performed in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and humidity
Field Travel
Significant time spent traveling throughout assigned territories by personal vehicle
Office Environment
Periodic time spent in an office setting for reporting, planning, and internal coordination
Site Hazards
Potential exposure to construction site hazards including heavy equipment, dust, and uneven terrain

This position requires frequent travel within assigned sales territories, estimated at 75% or more of scheduled work time, primarily by company-provided vehicle, including visits to customer job sites, company facilities, bid openings, and community or industry events.
