Job description

Sales Representatives initiate and manage relationships with customers and serve as the point of contact for the Company. In this position, you will be responsible for growing sales to the multi-family market segment, which involves products used to maintain properties on an ongoing basis. You will secure new accounts while maintaining existing customer accounts. You will utilize professional selling tools for pre-call planning and documenting sales calls. You'll develop a territory market strategy, conduct product demonstrations, and make competitive product comparisons.

This position is eligible for bonuses based on performance and is subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Job duties involve contact with customers, including minors, and access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, and valuable items. To ensure safety and security, a criminal history review may be conducted.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop strategies to grow sales and profits with key, opportunity, new, and existing customers.
  2. Build relationships with customers by understanding and supporting their business needs.
  3. Conduct product demonstrations to provide solutions for customers.
  4. Establish working relationships with stores to achieve business goals.
  5. Generate leads and assist in pricing, promotions, and negotiations.
  6. Prepare reports and give sales presentations to prospective clients.
  7. Coordinate sales efforts with marketing programs and promote company initiatives.
  8. Prepare and submit sales contracts and visit clients to evaluate needs or promote products.
  9. Maintain client records and answer questions regarding terms, products, and prices.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally, with or without accommodations.
  • If internal, received at least a "meets expectations" rating and completed required eLearning courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as an Assistant Store or Branch Operations Manager at Sherwin-Williams.
  • Experience conducting outside sales calls.
  • Associate degree in business, sales, or marketing.
  • Experience selling paint and related products.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
  • Multilingual abilities, especially in Spanish.
