Job Summary

Location: 24000 North Farmers Way, Phoenix, AZ 85085

We’re looking for sales-driven, enthusiastic sales professionals to join our next class of Sales Representatives beginning Summer 2025. In this role, you will respond to calls coming into our call center by positively promoting Farmers Workplace Solutions insurance products to prospective customers, consulting with customers to understand their needs, and selling those products which best fit the customer’s needs. You may also make outbound calls to optimize sales potential. You will earn a competitive base salary in addition to monthly incentive earnings based upon your performance. We provide 8+ weeks of paid training, combining virtual classroom and hands-on learning with mentoring to ensure that you have the skills you need to succeed at Farmers. Ongoing coaching and training will remain a focus throughout your career to help you grow in your role and advance to new opportunities.

  • Unlicensed Start Date: Tuesday, July 22nd
  • Licensed Start Date: Tuesday, August 19th

Compensation

  • Starting base pay is $18 per hour
  • Robust Monthly Incentive Plan

You'll thrive in this position if you have the following:

  • Past success working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Here's what you will accomplish as a member of our team:

  • Sell insurance products to inbound callers by gathering data from customers to generate quotes and ultimately bind the business; in some instances, make outbound calls
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships, while educating customers regarding coverages and cost so that the customer can select the most appropriate option
  • Qualify customers as buyers of other products/services to create cross-sell and upselling opportunities
  • Navigate multiple computer systems while seamlessly interacting with the customer

Experience Requirements

  • P&C/Personal Lines License is not immediately required. Farmers will sponsor and train you for licensing, as you must obtain Property & Casualty license to sell within 90 days of hire within your state of residency
  • Experience in property & casualty insurance sales is preferred
  • Must be eligible to obtain resident/non-resident property and casualty license in all required states
  • Education - High School diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of Customer Service or Sales experience required (including retail, hospitality, and restaurant experience); Call Center experience is preferred
  • Direct sales skills, and the aptitude to influence customers and close the sale
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to adapt communication style to each phone call, and explain complex policy and coverage information in understandable terms
  • Strong PC and software skills required

Position Location & Schedule

This is a HYBRID role

Office Location: 24000 North Farmers Way, Phoenix, AZ 85085 -This position will require in-office training 5 days per week for the your first 8-12 weeks in the role. Upon completing training, you will move to a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).

We will provide you with the technology that you need successfully to connect from home, including laptop & accessories.

Work Schedule: Our priority is to our customers, and we work non-traditional hours to match their needs. Candidates hired for this role must be available to work any shifts within the department hours listed below; this may include evenings, Saturdays, and some holidays. Shifts are assigned based on business needs.

Department Hours

  • Monday-Friday 5am-7pm
  • Saturday 6am-2:30pm Arizona Time
  • Full-time- 40 hours/week; five 8-hour shifts scheduled per week

Training Hours

Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4pm Arizona time

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Environment

Required job duties are normally performed in a climate- controlled office environment.
