Job summary

FOCO in Piscataway, NJ is seeking an entry-level Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. You’ll support retail and wholesale accounts, prospect new business, present licensed products, and assist with day-to-day sales operations.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, gaining hands-on experience in wholesale sports merchandise, territory management, and in-market events. This on-site role requires travel to assigned markets.

Qualifications

The Opportunity

FOCO is seeking an energetic and motivated Sales Representative to join our growing sales team in Piscataway, NJ.

This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for someone passionate about sports, retail, relationship-building, and consumer products who wants to launch a career in sales. In this role, you’ll support retail growth by helping manage customer accounts, prospecting new business opportunities, presenting licensed products, and assisting with day-to-day sales operations.

You’ll work closely with senior sales leadership while gaining hands-on experience in wholesale sales, licensed sports merchandise, retail partnerships, and territory management.

This is an on-site role based at FOCO’s Piscataway, NJ headquarters, with regular travel throughout assigned territories and customer markets.

What You’ll Do

• Support existing retail and wholesale accounts across assigned territories
• Assist with outreach to prospective customers through calls, emails, virtual meetings, and in-person visits
• Help maintain strong relationships with buyers, store managers, and retail partners
• Deliver excellent customer service and follow-up support

Licensed Product Sales

• Present officially licensed merchandise across NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, NCAA, and entertainment categories
• Support seasonal product presentations and merchandising initiatives
• Assist with hot market opportunities tied to major sporting events and seasonal programs

Sales & Territory Support

• Assist in building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline
• Support order management, account follow-up, and booking deadlines
• Help monitor territory performance and identify growth opportunities
• Collaborate with senior sales team members on account strategy and sales initiatives
• Stay informed on retail trends, competitor activity, and sports merchandise trends
• Share customer feedback and market insights with internal teams
• Support merchandising and sales initiatives aligned with FOCO’s business goals
• Travel regularly for account visits, retail meetings, trade shows, and customer presentations
• Represent FOCO professionally at customer meetings and industry events
• Support retail merchandising and in-market sales opportunities during peak seasons

What You’ll Bring

Required

• 0–2 years of experience in sales, retail, customer service, merchandising, or a related field
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Highly motivated, coachable, and eager to learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 40–60% during peak seasons
• Passion for sports, fan culture, and licensed products

Preferred

• Experience in retail, sporting goods, apparel, or consumer products
• Internship or coursework related to sales, marketing, or business
