Bilingual Sales Representative - General Construction
HOLT CAT is seeking a Bilingual Sales Representative for our Irving/North Dallas area. The Sales Representative-General Construction is responsible for representing machine sales products in a defined geographic territory with the objective of selling, leasing, purchasing, or renting these products. This position focuses on prospecting and selling to Spanish‑speaking customers in the agricultural, ranching, and general contractor markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Model, promote, reinforce, and reward the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership tools and processes to align with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
- Identify, initiate contact with, and influence potential buyers in a manner that is consistent with our mission statement and core values to meet or exceed territorial and corporate business goals.
- Source and grow sales with new business opportunities and develop new customers.
- Diagnose and respond to specific customer needs to enhance customer service quality and satisfaction, promoting mutually beneficial relationships.
- Promote products and services to existing customers while expanding that base to achieve territorial and organizational business goals.
- Create and submit accurate, timely sales‑related reports and documentation to support business goals.
- Meet all sales related key metrics within the review period.
- Contribute to the development, monitoring, and control of the sales forecast and expenses within the assigned territory to meet or exceed business goals.
- Complete special projects as requested by the Regional Sales Manager.
- Travel to and from customer locations.
- Work safely at all times and adhere to all applicable safety policies; comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Hours: 50+ hours a week, including late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Demonstrated knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales).
- Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills with the ability to build long‑term business relationships.
- Proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Understanding of the implications of new information for current and future problem solving and decision making.
- Use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and thorough completion of work tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish relationships with multiple departments and various organizational levels.
- First‑class organizational, multitasking, and time‑management skills; deadline oriented.
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Strong ability to listen, understand, and communicate information and ideas presented orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of safe work policies, procedures, and practices.
- Knowledge of sales techniques, financial, credit, and accounting principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Additional Role Specific Items for General Construction:
- Knowledge of CAT products and product support services and programs.
- Knowledge of inventory management and processes.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Minimum three years of work‑related skill, knowledge, or experience required; six years or more preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Travel
- Extensive driving required; overnight travel required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
