Job summary

Dal-Tile Corp. seeks an energetic Outside Sales Rep to grow market share for the Dal-Tile Countertop region. You will service existing accounts and expand the base through targeted cold calling and strategic visits.

Responsibilities include weekly sales calls, reporting, monthly travel planning, market analysis of top dealers, contractors, and builders, and driving display placements while maintaining margins. A proven, self-motivated seller with strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diplomas and some college are highly preferred.
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes/email.
• A clean driving record and reliable transportation are required.
• 4 years of prior selling experience.
• Prior customer service experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to work in an unstructured, unsupervised environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly sales calls servicing existing customers and cold calling potential customers (average 4-5 cold calls per week).
• Prepare weekly Sales and Call reports.
• Develop monthly strategy for sales calls and travel calendar.
• Conduct area market analysis of top accounts (dealers, contractors, builders).
• Research area market product data to determine styles and sizes most purchased.
• Grow market share by increasing sales and sales volume while maintaining margins.
• Complete Positive Action Forms for all cold calls resulting in a display, rack, or sale.
• Utilize influence and negotiation to sell/place displays in customers' showrooms.
• Conduct client follow-ups via phone, letters, and/or emails.
• Establish and maintain client files and timely follow-up on programs and projects.
• Provide PK seminars to customers.
• Utilize On Demand reporting to achieve sales objectives.
• Perform other duties as required.

Dal-Tile is seeking a dynamic Outside Sales Rep to increase its market share. The Outside Sales Rep will increase the account base by servicing existing customers and expanding the account base through cold calling.

Primary Objective:

• Increase market share and sales for the Dal-Tile Countertop in the prescribed region/area. Increase account base by servicing existing customers and expanding the account base through cold calling.

Primary Function and Scope:

• Conducts weekly sales calls - includes servicing existing customers as well as cold calling potential customers (average 4-5 cold calls per week).
• Prepares weekly “Sales” and “Call” reports.
• Develops monthly strategy for sales calls and prepares monthly travel calendar based on that strategy.
• Conducts area market analysis of top accounts in each area – including top Dealers, top Contractors, and top Builders.
• Researches area market product data to determine the types, styles, and sizes most purchased in the area to determine sales strategy.
• Grows market share by increasing sales and sales volume while maintaining company-approved product margin goals.
• Completes “Positive Action Forms” for all cold calls resulting in a display, rack, and/or sale.
• Utilizes influence and negotiation skills to sell and/or place displays in customers’ showrooms.
• Conducts client follow-ups via phone calls, letters, and/or emails.
• Establishes and maintains client files and performs timely follow-up on programs and projects.
• Provides PK seminars to customers.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• High school diplomas and some college are highly preferred.
