Job Scope

The Sales Representative (SR) exceeds sales quotas within an assigned territory by delivering Acumed products on time, providing high-quality technical assistance in the OR, and helping to drive market acceptance and adoption of Acumed products through technical and surgical expertise. The SR continuously assesses the customer base to identify new business opportunities and develops targeted sales strategies for each, proactively following up on all leads.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Execute business plans to identify and close new business.
  • Identify the needs of prospects and develop appropriate responses to meet or exceed those needs via written, telephone, and face-to-face communication.
  • Perform field sales calls for assigned accounts and territories, including on-call and OR consultations.
  • Provide excellent post-sale follow-up, including communication, managing delivery dates, in-service training, and coordinating product replenishment.
  • Communicate with current and new customers about product updates, portfolio changes, and educational programs.
  • Cross-sell additional products and introduce new products as they become available.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by promptly addressing issues and concerns.
  • Maintain customer records according to company specifications using the CRM tool.
  • Ensure compliance with AdvaMed code of conduct, maintaining confidentiality, protecting organizational assets, acting ethically, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable laws and policies.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to coach, train, or mentor Associate Sales Representatives as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of sales skills, product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Participate in tradeshows, sales meetings, promotional activities, and professional association meetings as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, medical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of successful sales experience, preferably in medical devices or industry.
  • 9-12 months of Acumed Sales Rep experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with physicians and surgical personnel.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with surgeons and hospitals.
  • Knowledge of sales principles, marketing strategies, product demonstrations, and sales control systems.
  • Comfortable working in emergency/operating room environments.
  • Ability to obtain necessary hospital credentials.
  • Reliable transportation.
Credentialing Required

This position involves frequent surgical visits and observations. The incumbent must obtain hospital-required credentials.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a commission-only role with On Target Earnings typically ranging from $100,000 to $135,000 annually, depending on individual performance and sales volume.
