Job Overview
D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently seeking a Sales Representative. The primary responsibility is to manage the sales process while providing excellent customer service, continuously sourcing new customers, helping them find and design their dream home, and ensuring a smooth sales experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate DR Horton’s value proposition, product vision, and capabilities to potential customers.
- Uncover and understand customer goals and challenges, then establish DR Horton as the best solution available.
- Overcome objections and close sales.
- Maintain accurate documentation of the transaction from sale through loan, options, and construction.
- Continually source new sales opportunities.
- Create and provide a marketing plan for establishing new customer relationships.
- Network and perform outreach to realtors.
- Manage time efficiently, meet sales goals, and work effectively with other team members.
- Maintain and expand a database of prospects.
- Attend sales meetings.
- Develop and maintain good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team members.
- Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase goodwill and profit.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or 2 years of related experience.
- Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and be able to drive during daytime or nighttime.
- Ability to use DRH Sales applications on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and application prompts.
- Proficiency with MS Office and email.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, bend, walk up stairs and unlevel terrain, and lift up to 25 pounds for up to 8 hours a day.
- Regular exposure to outside weather conditions and moderate noise levels.

- State licensing requirements as applicable.
- Prior experience with CRM software.
- Previous sales experience and industry knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
