FV Recycling is seeking a driven Sales Representative (Broker/Trader) to source recyclable materials from suppliers, match with buyers and own each deal end-to-end—pricing, logistics, and relationships on both sides.

Based in Hattiesburg, MS, the role is remote-friendly and reports to the SVP of Business Development; compensation is commission-based with no earnings cap.

Sales Representative

FV Recycling Careers

Primary function

FV Recycling is looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Sales Representative (also called a Broker or Trader) to help drive our revenue. You’ll source recyclable materials from suppliers, match them with buyers like paper mills and processors, and own each deal from start to finish: sourcing, pricing, logistics and the relationships on both sides. Pay is commission-based, tied to the gross profit you generate, with no cap on earnings.

Based in Hattiesburg, MS (remote-friendly), reporting to our SVP of Business Development.

Primary duties

• Find and secure new suppliers of OCC (Old Corrugated Containers) and other ISRI-spec materials
• Build relationships with buyers like paper mills and processors, and source materials to fill their requests
• Match supply with demand to create profitable deals
• Choose the best logistics option for each deal (FV trucking, third-party carriers or buyer-provided) and coordinate drop trailers as needed
• Sell or lease balers and compactors, plus services like repair, baler wire and custom recycling solutions
• Create proposals and see each deal through to signed supplier, buyer and carrier agreements
• Track contacts and deals in HubSpot CRM
• Work closely with the sales team and Account Coordinators for clear coverage and smooth handoffs

Education, Experience, Knowledge, & Qualifications

• Sales experience required; a background in recycling, commodities, logistics or a related industry is strongly preferred
• Strong skills in building relationships, negotiating and closing deals
• Ability to juggle multiple deals and moving parts at once
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who does well in a fast-paced, flexible environment
• HubSpot CRM experience preferred
• Familiarity with ISRI commodity specifications is a plus
