FedEx Freight is seeking an entry‑level Sales Specialist I in Memphis to drive growth by identifying prospects, building relationships, and promoting transportation brokerage services.
You will coordinate with cross‑functional teams, manage quotes and bids, and support contract approvals while learning the business and developing a proactive sales strategy. This position offers a structured development path with commission incentives.
The Sales Specialist I is an entry level sales role that is responsible for selling transportation brokerage services by generating new opportunities and developing relationships with new and potential customers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to identifying prospects, cold calling, cultivating relationships, servicing all customer needs, initiating and monitoring the completion of all customer contracts, requests for proposal and bids. The position will also be responsible for interacting and collaborating across other areas (finance, operations, legal, etc.) to ensure operational success for the customer and to communicate all necessary information to ensure operations has the necessary information to execute.
This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job‑related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
PAY RANGE: $17.20 – $21.55 plus commission, depending on experience.
