Job summary

Specialty Building Products' Reeb Millwork unit seeks a Sales Project Estimator to price, quote, and coordinate project orders. You will work with vendors and customers to ensure accurate quotes and timely deliveries.

The role emphasizes communication, math skills, and catalog study to support sales goals and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months to one year of related experience.
• Above average math skills and ability to use a calculator.
• Strong reading, writing and communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Confer with vendors by phone, fax or email to obtain pricing for volume or special orders.
• Maintain records of customer and vendor interactions and quotes.
• Enter and proofread project orders for accuracy.
• Complete project quoting.
• Coordinate logistics of product delivery and resolve customer concerns.
• Communicate order logistics with customers and resolve pricing disputes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Confer with vendors by telephone, fax or email in order to acquire pricing on volume or special orders
• Keep records of both customer and vendor interactions and transactions, monitoring quotes to ensure expeditious and accurate pricing
• Enter project orders into the ordering system and proof read project orders to ensure accuracy.
• Complete quoting of projects
• Arrange and ensure logistics of products delivery and fielding/solving customer concerns.
• Communicate with Customer on logistics of their orders.
• Resolve customer pricing disputes by researching the order history and taking disposition of incorrect pricing
• Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.
• Maintain positive relationships with both internal and external customers and vendors
• Continuously improve skills in the areas of product and process knowledge
• Actively participate in departmental goal setting and goal achievement
• Continuously work towards a “one-team” concept with outside sales representatives

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: Six months to one-year related experience

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Computer Skills

General computer knowledge required, including use of internet and email

Other Requirements:

• Above average math skills
• Keyboarding skills
• Ability to use a calculator
• Able to read, write and understand English
• Ability to communicate effectively and to articulate clearly
• Willing to study company catalog as well as vendor catalogs to assist in product knowledge
• Ability to understand both company sales goals and initiatives
