Job Description

The Sales Porter is responsible for moving service customer vehicles to ensure smooth and efficient traffic flow through the facility, increasing customer convenience, and maintaining an orderly service parking area. Additionally, the service porter will assist with home deliveries for service clients, adopting a concierge service approach.

In addition to the Sales Porter responsibilities, the candidate will be printing sales tags, assisting in getting cars ready for photography, and performing inventory tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Greet all customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude, answer questions, and direct them appropriately.
2. Determine if customers coming into service have an appointment. Record customer details including name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage (walk-around).
3. Control service traffic flow, assist with parking and loaner vehicles as needed, and park vehicles after they have been written up.
4. Drive vehicles safely, report any lot damage immediately, with zero lot damage as the goal and expectation.
5. Retrieve customer vehicles at cashier for pickup, wait at the vehicle for the customer, and thank them for their business.
6. Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and I.D. tags in all vehicles taken in for service.
7. Deliver keys and repair order hard copies to the appropriate Service Advisor immediately after parking a vehicle.
8. Maintain a clean and safe service drive area, free of trash, water, leaves, and dirt.
9. Drive vehicles to and from the service lane, stalls, and parking lot as needed.
10. Create key tags for vehicles.
11. Maintain a professional appearance.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
13. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and report any accidents immediately to a manager or supervisor.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Authorization to work in the USA.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug tests, and valid driver license.
