Job summary

Audi Dominion, a Cavender Auto Family dealership, is seeking a full-time Sales Porter to support our growing team and ensure smooth vehicle movement across the lot. You will drive cars safely, complete checklists on vehicle conditions, and assist with off-site tasks as needed.

The role requires flexibility for shifts including 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, 12:00 PM–9:00 PM, and Saturdays. We offer competitive benefits including health insurance, PTO, parental leave, life insurance, employee

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive all cars safely.
• Excellent communication and high energy with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work unusual business hours, including holidays, weekends, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and move vehicles to protect dealership property.
• Take notes on vehicle conditions and movements.
• Inspect vehicles and verify accessories listed on invoices.
• Record damages and missing items on delivery receipts.
• Deliver sold vehicles to the preparation department.
• Perform stock control and key cataloging as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Here is what you will be doing:

• Must be able to handle and drive all cars safely to protect dealership property and always ensure damage prevention.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, as well as Saturdays, with one scheduled day off during the week.
• Porter's responsibilities also include driving off-site to do dealership tasks when necessary.
• It is also necessary for these individuals to take detailed notes on vehicle conditions and movements.
• Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice
• Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and radio and stereo equipment
• Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt
• Assign stock control numbers to cards
• Catalog and store keys
• Deliver sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department
• Other duties as assigned

Here is what you will need:

• High School Diploma/GED is required
• Successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver's license
• Candidates must be willing to work unusual business hours, such as holidays, weekends, and evenings, to be considered a Sales Porter.
• Positive attitude and high energy and excellent communication and social skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information whether electronic or paper based.
• Be able to accommodate the physical requirements of the role: standing 6-8 hours per day and will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. This role will spend most of the time outdoors and be exposed to the elements.
