Job summary

Responsibilities include organizing will-call area, handling quotes to invoices, coordinating with vendors, reviewing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3+ years’ experience in Customer Service related Industry and Sales preferred.
• Ability to learn Austin Hose warehouse and delivery methods, techniques, and procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic understanding of Trulinx setup and maintenance.
• Familiarity with pricing schemes and suppliers.
• Effective communication with customers/peers/supervisors.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in customer orders.
• Must be able to pass random drug test.

Responsibilities

• Sell company products and services to customers by processing orders, price and delivery inquiries, providing technical and application information, soliciting customer orders and suggesting additional products in a fast multi-tasking environment.
• Ensure will-call area is organized, functional, and all orders are accounted for.
• Maintain responsibility of orders from quote to invoice.
• Select and specify a variety of products utilizing a variety of vendors.
• Process customers’ orders and send requested order acknowledgements.
• Review customer purchase orders for special conditions/documentations.
• Check availability and verify ship date if not in stock.
• Increase order size by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer’s buying history.
• Process and expedite orders, customer returns and returns to vendors in an accurate and timely manner.
• Work closely with buyers to locate product and ensure timely delivery.
• Communicates effectively and participates positively as a member of the front counter sales team.
• Willingness to be flexible, including working overtime, and performing responsibilities not specifically identified in the job description and assuming new responsibilities for the betterment of Austin Hose.
