Job summary

R.A Jones is seeking a New Equipment and Modernizations Sales Operations Engineer (SOE) to translate RFQs into machine solutions, build cost/pricing worksheets, and prepare proposals. In this role you will support Area Sales Managers, configure quotes, and collaborate with engineering to finalize concepts.

You will maintain CRM data, update cost/ proposal templates, and hand off orders to project management upon order receipt. Travel as needed; flexible remote work options within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combined experience with emphasis on technical selling.
• Strong customer service, leadership and sales support skills.
• Excellent communication—written and spoken—and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office and CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics.
• Ability to travel to customer locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and support to Area Sales Managers and customers for new equipment.
• Configure the machine to be quoted based on RFQ checklist submitted.
• Assist with machine capabilities and ballpark pricing for project screening.
• Collaborate with Engineering to determine concepts and cost estimates for custom content.
• Prepare and submit Firm Proposal Approval forms for firm proposals.
• Keep CRM current for all assigned opportunities and update cost worksheets and templates.
• Prepare Order Card when PO is received and conduct Order Card meeting to hand off to PM.
