  • Experience serving manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, transportation, construction, or technical companies is preferred.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven Sales & Operations Branch Manager to launch, develop, and lead our Houston operation.

This is a hands‑on commercial leadership position for someone who can generate new business, build strong client relationships, sell recruiting services, and coordinate the team responsible for delivering qualified candidates.

The selected leader will work closely with a bilingual recruiter in Houston and an experienced sourcing support team in Mexico. The primary objective will be to develop a profitable client portfolio while ensuring fast, accurate, professional, and high-quality recruiting execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients throughout GreaterHouston.
  • Generate new business through calls, referrals, LinkedIn, networking, industry associations, events, and direct client visits.
  • Identify each client’s hiring challenges and develop recruiting solutions aligned with its operational needs.
  • Conduct discovery meetings and presentations with HR, operations, procurement, and executive decision-makers.
  • Prepare proposals, establish pricing, negotiate recruiting agreements, and close new business.
  • Maintain accurate sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts in the company CRM.
  • Develop long-term relationships through regular follow-up and in-person client visits.
  • Expand existing accounts by identifying additional positions, departments, locations, and recruiting needs.
  • Represent Connect Workforce America at business and industry events throughout Greater Houston.
  • Translate client requirements into clear recruiting plans, priorities, and service expectations.
  • Coordinate the Houston recruiter and sourcing support team to meet client deadlines.
  • Monitor candidate sourcing, screening, submissions, interviews, placements, and post-placement follow-up.
  • Review candidate qualifications, experience, credentials, assessments, references, and background-check requirements.
  • Ensure that candidates presented to clients meet the position’s technical, operational, and cultural requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and information within the ATS and CRM.
  • Monitor recruiting quality, turnaround times, client satisfaction, and compliance with internal processes.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and results transparently to clients.
  • Resolve service issues quickly and professionally.
  • Help develop the processes, team, and commercial structure required to scale the Houston operation.

Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience in a recruiting agency, direct-hire recruitment, talent acquisition, human capital services, or B2B professional‑services sales.
  • At least two years of experience in sales leadership, branch management, territory development, or account portfolio management.
  • Proven success generating leads, developing client relationships, and closing new business.
  • Experience selling recruiting or human capital services is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Houston or Texas business market.
  • Experience serving manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, transportation, construction, food production, or technical companies is preferred.
  • Ability to lead recruiters and coordinate multiple client searches simultaneously.
  • Experience using CRM and ATS platforms.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship‑management skills.
  • Professional English proficiency.
  • Spanish-English bilingual capability is highly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Availability to visit clients and attend business events throughout Greater Houston.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States.
Hybrid Work Model

This position combines team collaboration, market presence, and flexibility:

  • Approximately three days per week working with the team from a Houston coworking location.
  • The remaining workdays will be divided between client visits, prospect meetings, networking activities, and remote work based on business priorities.
  • The weekly schedule may vary according to client appointments and commercial opportunities.
This is not a fully remote position. An active presence in the Houston market is essential for developing relationships and growing the operation.
