A leading medical device company is seeking a Sales Operations Analyst to provide operational and analytical support to the sales organization. This role will help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of sales processes, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and maintain the systems and data that support sales performance.
The position spans Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) operations, SAP SD/MM support, and Salesforce administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized, and comfortable partnering with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Legal in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support to sales management and assist with initiatives designed to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop, document, and enhance processes and procedures that support the overall sales lifecycle.
- Maintain and analyze sales activity data used for performance reporting, operational metrics, and process improvement.
- Support the end-to-end Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) process, including quoting, order processing, fulfillment, billing, and related activities.
- Manage the evaluation pool and track associated workflows from initiation through completion.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, and Sales to support document preparation, approvals, and order progression.
- Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) and ensure accurate documentation and tracking.
- Perform daily order updates and tracking, including internal orders processed through SAP.
- Support recurring quarterly initiatives focused on backlog management and aging orders.
- Assist with sales systems, data integrity, reporting, and process improvements as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience in sales operations, order management, business operations, or a related area.
- Hands-on understanding of the Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) lifecycle, including quote creation, order fulfillment, billing, and revenue recognition.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills, including experience with PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and similar functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Functional experience with SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and/or SAP MM (Materials Management), including transactions such as MM01, XD01, VA01, and VF01. SAP experience is preferred but can be trained for a candidate with strong Q2C and sales operations experience.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, IDocs, BAPIs, or other integration mechanisms.
- Experience supporting system enhancements, data migrations, implementations, or post-go-live stabilization.
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Lightning, including user permissions, custom fields, reporting, and data hygiene.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Data Loader; exposure to Salesforce CPQ is a plus.
- Experience with data imports/exports, data validation, and system go-live activities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- General understanding of compliance, data governance, master data, or revenue recognition practices is a plus.
