Job Overview

The Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist supports the POD Model in the One Tier Sales Strategy in a flexible, 24/7 operation. This role is vital due to the shift of Dollar General and some independent groceries from Small Store to the Large Store channel. The BAM Specialist provides vacation coverage, may be the first call for late PM/early AM weekends, and acts as a liaison between customer, merchandiser, and driver for order refusals and inventory overloads. They may execute weekend operational plans with minimal influence on strategy and keep the DSM informed.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Fills, merchandises, and rotates products on display and shelves according to procedures and special programs. Provides vacation coverage.
• Manages, sells, and executes in an assigned group of customers on pre-set routes, generating sales orders to ensure operational success and contribute to the company's financial performance.
• Executes promotions and new products based on target lists, monthly initiatives, marketing promotions, POS, and commercial plans to achieve high RED scores.
• Organizes and maintains back room, stacks and arranges products, arranges returns of pallets and damaged or out-of-date products.
• Creates and distributes POS materials, rotates product, fills and merchandises Fastlane merchandisers, and checks vendor operations.
• Builds business relationships with store personnel, following up on requests, pricing, programs, and new opportunities.
• Identifies and communicates competitive issues or market activities affecting the business, ensuring safety in all duties.
• May serve as first call point during weekends, acting as liaison for route coverage and order issues.
