Compensation Data

Total Cash Compensation (TCC) range for this position is from $114,500-171,800* per year based on experience and qualifications. *The low end of the TCC range includes base pay of $80,100 and performance-based incentives of $34,400 at 100% of sales targets. The high end of the TCC reflects base pay of $124,600 annually and performance-based incentives of $51,600 at 100% of sales targets. Incentive payments are not guaranteed and are governed by the terms of the applicable sales bonus plan, which is subject to change at Allstate’s discretion.

Job Summary:

Allstate Insurance Company has an opportunity for an experienced licensed Sales Leader to support the state of Oregon. The Sales Market Leader (SML) supports Allstate Exclusive Agents to ensure their business success. This role covers the Oregon market, supporting 55+ Exclusive agency owners, with about 20% travel required. While primarily home-based, the incumbent must reside in Oregon to conduct field travel. The SML promotes growth and success of the distribution channel and its agency owners through effective consultations, business planning, and staffing strategies, influencing behavior through coaching and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the assigned market to achieve business objectives, including profitable growth and increased market share.
  • Create and monitor performance against a strategic business plan.
  • Consult with Exclusive Agencies to develop business strategies, advise on operations, identify issues, and facilitate resource access.
  • Communicate Allstate messages, tailor them to the agency context, and assist agencies in operational adjustments.
  • Prospect, assess, and recruit agency candidates per market strategy.
  • Conduct agency consultations virtually and in person, with occasional travel for conferences.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience.

Functional Skills:

  • Business planning and consulting skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and process management skills.
  • Knowledge of recruiting processes.

Job Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales leadership preferred.
  • Experience in Property & Casualty/Financial Services preferred.
  • 4-year college degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop internal relationships and achieve results.
  • Market assessment skills required.
  • Understanding of pricing, claims, sales trends, and financial analysis necessary.
  • Knowledge of Allstate policies preferred.
  • Licenses: P&C, Life/Health, Series 6, 63, or 26 (within 90 days).
  • Designated Supervisory Principal experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for business needs.
