Sales Manager - Capital Equipment & Industrial Manufacturing experience required
Location: Remote (Must reside on the East Coast)

About the Company:
Our client is a well-established U.S. manufacturer of adhesive application systems used in packaging, woodworking, automotive, and general industrial sectors. All equipment is built and supported in-house, sold directly to end users, and designed for long-term performance. With customers spanning the East Coast, the company is expanding its sales team to support continued growth and prepare for upcoming retirements within the organization.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $100,000–$120,000 (based on experience)
  • Annual discretionary bonus
  • Car allowance and full reimbursement for travel expenses
  • Company-provided laptop and sales tools
  • Paid training (2–3 weeks onsite in Rochester Hills, MI)

About the Role:
This is a relationship-driven sales role focused on helping manufacturers solve production challenges through high-quality, reliable equipment. You’ll inherit an established East Coast territory generating ~$1.5M in revenue, with the opportunity to expand your book by developing ~25 new accounts annually. The role is supported by in-house engineering, service, and customer care teams, allowing you to focus on consultative selling and long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a defined East Coast territory
  • Develop new customer relationships with a target of 25 new accounts per year
  • Conduct site visits, product demos, and needs assessments
  • Act as a strategic partner to customers in packaging and manufacturing settings
  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams to ensure successful installations and long-term satisfaction
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows and customer events

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in capital equipment or industrial manufacturing
  • Strong track record of managing long sales cycles and growing accounts
  • Must reside in one of the following states or districts: CT, DE, ME, MD, MA, NH, NJ, NY, NC, RI VA, PA, VT, or Washington, D.C.
  • Willingness to travel 30–40% (mostly by car, with some air travel for tradeshows)
  • Excellent communication, follow-through, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience selling direct to end users (vs. through distributors) is strongly preferred
  • Self-motivated and organized, comfortable managing a remote role independently
