Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Sales experience not required.
• Sales Counselor and sales supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience presenting, training, coaching and motivating salespeople a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Insurance license as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed established location sales quotas.
• Ensure that Sales Counselors utilize methods as set forth in training manuals.
• Provide initial and ongoing sales instruction to ensure that all Sales Counselors meet or exceed customer needs.
• Manage Sales Counselors as primary reference for aftercare, prospecting, product knowledge, and closing skills.
• Develop marketing programs that compliment the geography and community demographics.
• Analyze competitor pricing and plan community events to heighten awareness.
• Review pre-need and at-need contracts for compliance.
• Approve all discounts offered to customers.
• Prepare reports demonstrating financial controls.
• Maintain marketing materials, training manuals, and sales equipment.
• Ensure sales programs and incentives are budgeted and conform to policies.
• Keep sales rooms and offices clean and professional.
