Job summary

Bachman’s is seeking a Sales Manager to lead growth across Exterior Landscape, Garden Maintenance, and Interior Landscape. You will guide a sales/design team, strengthen client partnerships, and translate opportunities into profitable, well-priced solutions.

Responsibilities include pipeline management, pricing discipline, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure quality and value in every project. This is a salaried on-site role with an emphasis on strategic plans and coaching.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in sales with revenue growth and leadership.
• 4 years’ experience in horticulture, landscape design/build, garden maintenance, interior landscape, or related services preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
• Sound business judgment and disciplined use of CRM and business systems, paired with coaching for results.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales performance across Exterior Landscape, Garden Maintenance, and Interior Landscape.
• Manage pipeline reviews, lead assignments, proposal support, pricing approvals, CRM/order accuracy, customer escalations, and coaching on active opportunities.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop sales/design team members.
• Set expectations, hold regular one-on-one meetings, and provide timely feedback.
• Foster a professional culture centered on accountability, service, quality, and profitable growth.
• Develop and execute annual sales and marketing plans, including client retention, business development, referral growth, seasonal programs, commercial account development, and strategic customer outreach.
• Partner with operations, procurement, design, and office teams to ensure sold work is feasible, properly priced, accurately documented, and delivered to Bachman’s quality standards.
• Use sales reporting, forecasting, commission review, budget input, pricing discipline, margin analysis, and performance metrics for leadership review.
• Represent the department with key customers, vendors, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.
