Job Description

We are seeking a Sales Manager/Assistant General Manager to join our team. This position is a salaried role and requires a minimum of 3 years Retail Management experience.

The Sales Manager/Assistant General Manager at Encore Interiors is responsible for planning and directing the daily operations of the retail store. Responsibilities include developing strategies to improve customer service, drive sales, and increase profitability. Ensuring customer needs are met, resolving complaints, and maintaining efficient service are key. The role involves leading and directing staff, working closely with ownership to keep the store presentable, and prioritizing customer service.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Completing store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
2. Maintaining store staffing through recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
3. Providing ongoing education to sales staff.
4. Identifying customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers.
5. Strategizing sales and marketing plans to boost revenue.
6. Setting and reviewing sales targets for the team.
7. Handling money transactions after daily closing.
8. Implementing security measures to secure merchandise.
9. Ensuring a safe and clean store environment for employees and customers.
10. Maintaining store compliance with legal requirements.
11. Reviewing operating and financial statements to inform marketing strategy changes.
12. Participating in professional development activities.
13. Overseeing inventory management.
14. Educating staff about new items and promotions.
15. Being available during busy times to assist with sales.
16. Cross-training on all store departments for effective oversight.
