Location: Indianapolis, IN
Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 per year + 5% uncapped commission on revenue

About The Role
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead solution-based sales efforts in the industrial automation and smart manufacturing space. This role is ideal for a high-energy professional who thrives on building relationships, closing complex deals, and driving digital transformation for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing
- Develop long-term client partnerships focused on recurring value, not one-time sales
- Qualify leads rigorously and manage a high-performing sales funnel
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to tailor solutions
- Present to stakeholders at all levels—from shop floor to C-suite
- Use CRM tools and analytics to track pipeline and performance metrics
- Continuously improve sales processes based on data and feedback
What We’re Looking ForSales Competencies
- Proven experience in service or solution-based sales
- Strong consultative selling skills with a focus on customer pain points
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to lead pointed, strategic conversations
- Self-starter who takes initiative and doesn’t wait for opportunities—they create them
- Comfortable qualifying hard, competing hard, and closing hard
Technical Acumen
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies: IoT, AI, SCADA, MES, ERP, robotics, etc.
- Ability to speak the language of engineers and technical decision-makers
- General understanding of controls engineering and Siemens product lines
- Knowledge of machine safety standards and practices
Strategic Thinking
- Ability to align solutions with customer KPIs and digital transformation goals
- Understands ROI, change management, and supply chain implications
- Can map technology to business outcomes (e.g., OEE, downtime reduction)
Communication Skills
- Able to simplify complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable presenting to both technical teams and executive leadership
- Active listener who adapts based on customer feedback
Industry Knowledge
- Experience in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, logistics, manufacturing, or pharmaceuticals
- Understanding of regulatory environments and operational challenges
Bonus Skills
- Experience with SCADA, PLCs, AI/ML, or cloud-edge computing
- Familiarity with digital transformation frameworks (e.g., RAMI 4.0, ISA-95)
