Job description

Southend Pharmacy is a Houston-based, independent compounding pharmacy specializing in sterile medications and personalized pharmaceutical solutions. Licensed in over 30 states, we partner with healthcare providers to deliver high-quality, third party-tested compounds, including GLP-1 therapies. As a Legit Script-certified pharmacy, we are committed to safety, compliance, and exceptional service.

*The preferred candidate will reside in Houston, Texas and be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and support our virtual and field-based team of Sales Representatives in the compounding pharmacy sector. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for all sales team inquiries, ensuring alignment with company goals and operational standards. The Sales Manager will be responsible for the onboarding, training, and continuous coaching of sales staff, while acting as a vital liaison between the sales team, executive leadership, and pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the performance and productivity of a distributed team of virtual and field-based Sales Representatives.
  • Serve as the primary contact for sales team support, addressing daily inquiries, providing guidance, and ensuring alignment with sales strategy and compliance standards.
  • Develop and execute onboarding programs for new sales hires to ensure swift integration and readiness.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to promote professional growth and achievement of sales targets.
  • Monitor team performance metrics and provide reports and insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales department and pharmacy operations to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with marketing, compliance, and operational teams to implement initiatives that support sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in setting sales goals, forecasting, and developing strategies to expand market presence and customer base.
  • Ensure all sales activities adhere to regulatory guidelines relevant to the compounding pharmacy industry.
  • Identify areas for improvement and automation and participate in implementing new technologies to increase efficiency across the sales team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in sales management within the compounding pharmacy space.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage remote and on-the-ground teams.
  • Strong understanding of sales pipeline management and CRM systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and serve as a key communication bridge between sales, operations, and leadership.
