Ashley Furniture in Olympia, WA is seeking an Assistant General Sales Manager to support daily store operations and drive sales performance. You will work with the General Sales Manager to monitor KPIs, coach staff, and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

This role emphasizes leadership, timely issue resolution, and effective communication across sales, guest experience, and visual teams to maintain store standards and budget goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Sales Manager in overseeing sales KPIs such as volume, margin, and closing ratio.
• Handle customer issues in the absence of the General Sales Manager.
• Provide leadership and clear communication to the sales, guest experience, and visual teams.
• Coach sales staff to build individual and team success in a professional manner.
• Assist in controlling administrative costs and maintaining proper staffing levels.
• Document procedures and tasks and complete reports in a timely manner.

Summary

The Assistant General Sales Manageris responsible forsupporting the General Sales Manager in the day-to-day operations of the retail store.

Responsibilities

• Support the General SalesManagersin overseeing all sales KPI’s including but not limited to; volume, margin, closing ratio, sales per guest,beddingand protection.
• The ability to handle all customer-related issues in the absence of the General Sales Manager.
• Provide exceptional leadership withtimelyand effective communication to the sales, guestexperience,and visual teams.
• Coach members of the sales staff to build individual and team success in a professional manner.
• Assist the General Sales Manager inmaintainingbudgeted administrative costs including wages and supplies.
• Ensure complete and adequate documentation of procedures and tasks completed.
• Complete various report functionsin a timely manner.
• Aid tomaintainproper staffing levels for the sales team job codein accordance withcompany set budget levels.
• Prepare and administer impact coaching sessions forthe developmentof the sales team.
• Coordinate and execute daily, weekly peak state huddles.
• Work with the Visual Presentation Managerregardingproduct placement.
• Report changes in policy and other information to staffmembers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation

Individual compensation packages aredeterminedbased on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Annual Base Salary Range: $80,200.00 - $90,000.00 I n addition to base pay, employees are eligible to earn monthly incentive compensation based on Store Revenue, Protection Gross Margin, Bedding Margin, and Conversion.
