Responsibilities
- Solicit, negotiate, and book new business through proactive direct sales efforts.
- Build on existing relationships to maintain and grow our current customer and account base.
- Capture your client’s vision and effectively convey their needs and requests within the hotels.
- Respond to all client inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop rapport with key industry players in the community, including the local Convention & Visitor’s Bureau.
- Meet or exceed weekly sales call goals to maintain your sales pipeline.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings, record and act on future traces for accounts, customers, and events, write action plans, and prepare the annual marketing plan.
- Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
Qualifications
- College coursework in a related field is helpful.
- Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Ability to work long hours sometimes.
- Light physical effort, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees and guests.
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns.
- Multitasking and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
- Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor.
- Attendance at all required hotel meetings and trainings.
- Participation in M.O.D. coverage as required.
- High standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing nametags.
- Compliance with InnVentures standards and regulations for safety and efficiency.
- Problem-solving skills, including anticipation, prevention, and resolution.
- Ability to analyze complex information and maintain confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
