Responsibilities
  • Solicit, negotiate, and book new business through proactive direct sales efforts.
  • Build on existing relationships to maintain and grow our current customer and account base.
  • Capture your client’s vision and effectively convey their needs and requests within the hotels.
  • Respond to all client inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop rapport with key industry players in the community, including the local Convention & Visitor’s Bureau.
  • Meet or exceed weekly sales call goals to maintain your sales pipeline.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings, record and act on future traces for accounts, customers, and events, write action plans, and prepare the annual marketing plan.
  • Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
Qualifications
  • College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Ability to work long hours sometimes.
  • Light physical effort, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees and guests.
  • Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns.
  • Multitasking and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
  • Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor.
  • Attendance at all required hotel meetings and trainings.
  • Participation in M.O.D. coverage as required.
  • High standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing nametags.
  • Compliance with InnVentures standards and regulations for safety and efficiency.
  • Problem-solving skills, including anticipation, prevention, and resolution.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
