Job summary

The Capital Grille in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Sales Manager to build restaurant business via direct and indirect sales, including private dining and community marketing initiatives. You will lead the Host/Sales team and collaborate with the Managing Partner and Executive Chef to execute each event per the brand's standards.

Ideal candidates bring outside sales experience, 1+ year of supervisory restaurant experience, and a strong understanding of the local trade area with a proven career

Qualifications

• Outside sales experience required.
• 1+ years management or supervisory experience in restaurant, hotel, retail, or general business.
• 2+ years casual dining or full-service restaurant management preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of the local community trade area.
• Stable job history showing upward progression.

Responsibilities

• Drive restaurant sales through direct and indirect channels, including private events and local promotions.
• Lead and develop Host/Sales department on shifts and events.
• Partner with Managing Partner and Executive Chef to flawlessly execute events aligned with company philosophy.

For this position, pay will be variable by location - See additional job details and benefits belowThe Sales Manager is responsible for building business for the restaurant through direct and indirect sales techniques including all planning components of private and large party dining and community marketing initiatives. The Sales Manager also leads and manages the restaurant level Host/Sales department operations, modeling and demonstrating leadership that is grounded in the core values & principles of Darden and The Capital Grille. In addition, the Sales Manager is responsible for partnering with the Managing Partner and Executive Chef to ensure each event is flawlessly executed against the company's philosophies.
