PennWest is looking for a Sales Manager to join our team. This 2B1C Sales Manager will elevate both Raymond and Toyota teams by driving strategic sales growth in a competitive market with providing customers with top-tier warehouse solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of sales representatives to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop sales strategies and tactics for growing the material handling product portfolio, including equipment like conveyors, forklifts, racking systems, automated solutions, etc.
  • Set performance objectives, review sales performance, and provide training to enhance team skills.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners to increase sales opportunities.
  • Act as the main point of contact for high-value or complex customer accounts, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Identify new market opportunities, engage with potential customers, and ensure ongoing business development.
  • Analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitors to identify opportunities for sales growth.
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management to meet quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the full range of material handling products, services, and solutions.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert, providing consultations and technical information to customers.
  • Guide clients through the selection of the most appropriate material handling systems based on their needs and specifications.
  • Lead negotiations with customers to close high-value deals and ensure favorable contract terms.
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals, quotes, and contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and profitability.
  • Monitor sales performance and report on KPIs, such as revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market penetration.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure the timely delivery and installation of material handling solutions, working with logistics and service teams.
  • Additional duties as required or assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of 8 employees in the Sales department.
  • Hire and trains new employees including establishing and monitoring training and development plans.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned employees.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the material handling, logistics, manufacturing, or automation industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Experience in a B2B sales environment, especially with large industrial or manufacturing clients.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to drive a team and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), CRM software and sales reporting tools.
