Job summary

BuildDirect's PRO Center in Santa Fe Springs is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive growth across our retail and professional (PRO) sales channels. The ideal candidate has a proven outside sales track record in flooring—carpet, LVP, and hardwood—with an entrepreneurial mindset to identify opportunities and build lasting relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven outside sales experience in the flooring industry with direct carpet, LVP, and hardwood sales.
• Demonstrated success selling into both retail and PRO/trade channels.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to identify and act on new business opportunities.
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with contractors, installers, and builders.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing a book of business.
• Plus uncapped commission and a full benefits package.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across flooring categories.
• Partner with operations to ensure inventory, fulfillment, and delivery support PRO accounts.

About the Role

BuildDirect's PRO Center in Santa Fe Springs is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead growth across our retail and professional (PRO) sales channels. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in outside sales within the flooring industry — specifically carpet, LVP, and hardwood — along with the entrepreneurial mindset to identify opportunities and build lasting business relationships.

This role combines field-based business development with in-location retail leadership, offering significant ownership over territory strategy and earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow both retail and PRO (professional/trade) sales channels
• Cultivate new outside sales relationships with contractors, builders, and installers
• Oversee counter sales and customer experience at the Santa Fe Springs location
• Develop and execute territory sales strategy, with accountability for pipeline and results
• Represent BuildDirect's PRO Elite Program, including manufacturer-direct pricing, showroom access, jobsite delivery, and flexible payment terms
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across carpet, LVP, and hardwood categories
• Partner with operations to ensure inventory, fulfillment, and delivery support PRO account needs
