Nexstar Media Group, Inc. in the Tri-Cities region (Tennessee/Virginia) seeks a SUPERSTARSales Manager to lead the CBS/ABC combo's sales operations across broadcast and digital platforms.

The role drives revenue, builds client relationships, and oversees recruitment, training and forecasting. Applicants bring a bachelor’s in Marketing/Advertising/Communications or equivalent, 3–5 years of digital/media sales, strong communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills, plus a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing/Advertising/Communications.
• 3–5 years of digital/media sales experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Experience guiding and motivating sales personnel.
• Experience setting long-range objectives and sales strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Sales department.
• Develop and execute strategies to exceed revenue targets.
• Drive new business development across broadcast and digital.
• Provide leadership for broadcast/digital sales teams.
• Manage recruitment, training and performance of sales staff.
• Forecast revenue and manage accounts receivable.
• Cultivate client relationships alongside Account Executives.
• Make hiring, promotion and termination decisions.

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the day to day operations of the Sales department, including development of new business and achievement of revenue goals across Broadcast and Digital Platforms.

• Provides leadership for the broadcast/digital sales teams
• Efficient and fluent in Digital Sales.
• Makes decisions regarding hiring, evaluation, promotion and termination of employees
• Develops and executes sales strategies which result in exceeding revenue targets in local, new business and digital revenue
• Drives new business development
• Manages inventory and revenue forecasting
• Manages recruitment, training, evaluation, and development of sales professionals
• Manages Accounts Receivable
• Develops and cultivates client relationships alongside Account Executives
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Minimum three-five years digital/media sales experience
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Experience guiding, directing and motivating personnel, including setting and monitoring performance standards
• Experience establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them
• Ability to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment
• Experience with Wide Orbit, Strata, Matrix, and comScore is preferred
• Pay Range: $125,000-$140,000 Salary, commission, & bonus.
