Seneca Foods Corporation is a leading provider of packaged fruits and vegetables with nationwide operations and a broad brand portfolio. We seek a qualified Sales Manager to plan, implement, and evaluate sales initiatives, drive performance, and lead broker teams from our Northeast-focused operations.

The role requires extensive travel, data-driven decision making, and coordination with customer service and technical services to address customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales or Marketing or equivalent of 5 years’ sales experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving, presentation and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with sales management software and CRM.
• Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

Seneca Foods Corporation is seeking a qualified Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate in this role will be involved in planning, implementing, and overall performance evaluation of company sales initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Make sales data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation.
• Define and execute territory business plans.
• Oversee and direct performance of the broker team.
• Monitor the industry, business environment, competitors and customers to build sales, distribution and brand franchise.
• Travel to key markets to develop business plans with brokers and conduct retail store audits.
• Interdepartmental collaboration with customer service, and technical services to address customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales or Marketing or equivalent of 5 years’ sales experience preferred.
• A commitment to excellent customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with sales management software and CRM.
• Proficient skills with Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• A minimum of three years of retail grocery sales is preferred.
• Direct sales experience with Food Class Trade supply chain helpful.
• Sales and Marketing (broker) and / or Category Management background helpful.
• Experience with point of purchase data platforms such as Nielsen and / or Circana preferred.
• This is a remote position, and candidate must live in the Northeast region of the United States.
• Wage range based on skills, abilities, and experience from $110,000-$120,000/year.
• Travel is required 3 days a week / 3 weeks out of the month (flexible based on sales manager needs).
• Candidate is required to be in reasonable proximity of a metropolitan airport.
