Job summary

Olympia Hospitality and Hyatt Place Chicago South/University Medical Center seek a Sales Manager to drive revenue through proactive group sales and catering. You will own the client journey from lead to final billing—negotiating contracts, detailing logistics, managing rooming blocks, and delivering high-touch on-site service through final billing.

The role also supports local marketing through targeted social media to raise property visibility.

Qualifications

• Hotel sales/catering sales and/or hotel experience required.
• Management or supervisory experience preferred.
• College degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

The Sales Manager drives hotel revenue through proactive group sales and meeting/catering business. This hands‑on role manages the entire client journey—capturing leads, negotiating and contracting business, detailing logistics, managing rooming blocks, and providing high‑touch on‑site servicing through final billing. This position also supports local marketing through targeted social media initiatives to increase property visibility.

Key Responsibilities

• This employee must display effective listening and communication skills, initiative, ability to work independently and in teams, and lead by example.
• The employee must exercise good judgment and discretion, demonstrate effective problem‑solving skills, and provide excellent customer service.
• Additionally, the employee must be able to multitask, maintain composure under pressure, and display a high level of professionalism, integrity, and follow‑through.

Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000 per year

Experience / Education:

Hotel sales/Catering sales and/or hotel experience required. Management or previous supervisory experience preferred. College Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience; Delphi.fdc a plus. Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented.
