With nearly 10 years in business and approximately 2,000 successful weddings, our venues are known for exceptional service, beautiful celebrations, and a highly personalized client experience. Our Charlotte venue, The Yorkmont, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts, develop a high-performing team, and help prospective couples turn their vision into an unforgettable wedding experience. - - Reports To: Owner / Chief Executive Officer
- - Schedule: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- - Schedule Flexibility: Primarily business hours with occasional evening and weekend support
- - Travel: 5–10% occasional travel between locations or for company events
- - Compensation:$75,000–$85,000 base + commission, depending on experience

What You'll Do
Drive Sales & Revenue
- - Own the sales process from the initial inquiry through signed contract.
- - Conduct engaging in-person and virtual venue tours that showcase The Yorkmont and create excitement around the client's wedding vision.
- - Build strong relationships with couples and confidently guide them through venue options, pricing, packages, enhancements, and available dates.
- - Qualify leads based on budget, guest count, event vision, timeline, and venue fit.
- - Develop and execute strategic follow-up plans to maximize inquiry-to-booking conversion.
- - Consistently work toward and exceed sales and revenue goals.
- - Identify opportunities to increase booking value through upgrades, enhancements, premium dates, and additional services.
- - Maintain an accurate sales forecast and proactively communicate pipeline activity and opportunities to leadership.
Lead & Develop the Team
- - Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales and venue team.
- - Establish clear expectations, priorities, and performance standards.
- - Monitor team activity and sales performance while providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
- - Support onboarding, training, and development of new team members.
- - Foster a collaborative, accountable, and service-focused team culture.
- - Help the team develop the skills and confidence needed to deliver an exceptional client experience and achieve sales goals.
Manage the Sales Pipeline & CRM
- - Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, sales pipelines, contracts, and client communications.
- - Monitor key sales metrics including lead response time, conversion rates, booking pace, average booking value, and revenue.
- - Review pipeline activity regularly to identify opportunities, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- - Prepare recurring sales reports and provide meaningful insights to executive leadership.
- - Ensure timely and consistent follow-up with prospective and booked clients.
Elevate the Client Experience
- - Deliver a polished, responsive, and personalized experience from the first inquiry through contract.
- - Build trust with clients by listening to their needs and helping them navigate the decision-making process.
- - Respond to inquiries and client questions with urgency, professionalism, and warmth.
- - Partner with planning, marketing, and venue operations teams to create a seamless client journey.
- - Help identify and resolve client concerns while maintaining the high service standards associated with a luxury hospitality brand.
Improve Processes & Operations
- - Evaluate sales and operational workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
- - Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) that support consistency and accountability.
- - Leverage CRM systems, project management tools, and AI technologies such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to streamline workflows and increase productivity.
- - Partner with leadership to implement new processes, tools, and strategies as the company continues to grow.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a confident, organized, and relationship-driven sales leader who can close business, coach a team, and create an exceptional client experience.
Required Qualifications
- - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- - 5+ years of experience in venue operations, hospitality management, luxury events, sales, or client service leadership.
- - 2–4 years of consultative sales experience, preferably within hospitality, weddings, events, or luxury services.
- - 2+ years of experience closing high-value, customer-facing sales.
- - 2+ years of supervisory or management experience leading and developing teams.
- - Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline and consistently follow through on leads and opportunities.
- - Strong understanding of sales metrics, forecasting, conversion rates, and revenue performance.
- - Proficiency with CRM platforms, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office.
- - Working knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot and project management software.
- - Exceptional communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
- - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- - Experience selling weddings or events valued at $20,000+.
- - Previous experience selling wedding venues, luxury hospitality, events, or other high-touch services.
- - Experience leading sales or operations within a luxury wedding venue or growing business.
- - Demonstrated success improving sales processes, conversion rates, or team performance.
- - Experience using technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
