Job Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for generating group revenue by developing new, referred, and repeat business within a defined territory. This role primarily handles group blocks from 10-200 rooms on peak nights, focusing on SMERF and Government markets.

Location: Atlanta, GA (on-site)

Responsibilities

  1. Achieve monthly room night booking goals for group blocks of 10-200 rooms on peak nights.
  2. Follow Booking Guidelines.
  3. Participate in FAMS.
  4. Solicit accounts using FDC.
  5. Develop new accounts aligned with the hotel's Mission Statement.
  6. Maintain weekly goals for calls, site inspections, and outside sales activities.
  7. Utilize all prospect sources as per the Sales Action Plan.
  8. Promptly follow up on leads from GSO, Omni Hotels & Resorts, and other sources.
  9. Engage in industry associations.
  10. Meet budgeted room nights, rates, revenues, and F&B goals.
  11. Contribute to direct mail campaigns and promotions targeting the SMERF market segment.
  12. Adhere to Group Sales Standards of Operation, completing all required documentation.
  13. Convey rate and package information within approved limits to maximize revenue yields.
  14. Demonstrate professionalism and embody The Power of One and Omni Hotels philosophies in all client interactions.
  15. Promote Omni properties and cross-sell the brand and related memberships.
  16. Support the Omni / Power of One culture.
  17. Attend departmental meetings and training sessions.
  18. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Previous hotel experience in administrative, group sales, or business travel preferred.
  2. College degree preferred.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn other computer programs quickly.
