Description

SALES LEADER – Part-Time

We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, friendly, and dedicated part-time Sales Leaders!

The Sales Leader is responsible for delivering excellent selling and customer service to enhance store productivity and profitability. They provide product recommendations and solutions, serve as role models for retail best practices, and focus on sales, service, and relationship-building. They also share product knowledge, follow store communications, and handle daily tasks assigned by the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager, including opening and closing the store.

Additional duties include inventory management, conducting product displays, stocking, housekeeping, and assisting with stockroom operations. The Sales Leader collaborates closely with the corporate team and reports directly to the Store Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Create a welcoming, easy-to-navigate shopping environment.
  • Build expertise in products, promotions, services, and rewards programs tailored to customer needs.
  • Support store management and team.
  • Assist customers in finding suitable cards and gifts to foster caring and connection.
  • Share stories and promote community engagement to reinforce kindness.
  • Handle store operations efficiently, including replenishment, merchandising, sales, shipments, inventory, and order fulfillment.
  • Deliver an inspiring shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty.
  • Work as part of a team to meet sales goals, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all company policies and practices.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of retail, sales, or customer service experience.
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Ability to open and close the store at least three times per week and work two weekend shifts per month.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years in retail, sales, or customer service.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong customer engagement and consultative selling skills.
  • Effective communication, adaptability, and proficiency with technology.
  • Willingness to learn and assist in training new employees.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 40-50 pounds, and perform physical tasks regularly.
  • Frequent communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Exposure to typical retail environment conditions.

Employment Status:

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position, working 10-28 hours per week, with a maximum of 28 hours on average.
