POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Associate Lead supports management in the store's operations to ensure a great customer experience and maximize profitability. Performs sales and register transactions.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promotes customer service by greeting and assisting customers; responds to inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Performs operational tasks including cash handling, reporting, price changes, merchandise handling, and opening/closing duties; reviews payroll documentation for accuracy.
- Monitors sales activities and productivity; communicates performance and motivates staff to achieve goals.
- Maintains customer awareness to enhance service and security; stays current on policies regarding payments, exchanges, and security.
- Knows current sales and promotions; displays merchandise accordingly.
- Supports inventory and supplies receipt and dispatch per company policy.
- Supervises sales associates involved in sales, inventory, cash reconciliation, and customer service; prepares weekly schedules for floor coverage.
- Models sales techniques and product knowledge; assists customers in merchandise selection based on needs.
- Builds customer loyalty through clienteling and wardrobe styling.
- Maintains standards in merchandise presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed.
- Participates in visual merchandising and store set-ups.
- Assists in developing store staff; interprets KPI reports and provides coaching; offers feedback for performance reviews.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Preferred: 2+ years retail or sales management experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willing to travel within the district.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of store operations.
- Physical ability to stand, maneuver, lift 50 lbs, and perform related tasks.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays.
