POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Associate Lead is primarily responsible for supporting management in the general operations of the store to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability. Performs various sales and register transactions.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promotes customer service by ensuring associates greet and assist customers; responds to customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Performs basic operational activities including cash handling, reporting, price changes, merchandise handling, and open and closing duties; reviews payroll documentation for accuracy.
- Monitors sales activities and productivity; communicates performance to associates; motivates and trains staff to achieve targets.
- Maintains awareness of customers to enhance service levels and reduce security risks; stays current on policies regarding payments, exchanges, and security.
- Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions; displays merchandise according to standards.
- Supports receipt and dispatch of inventory and supplies per company policy.
- Supervises associates involved in sales, inventory receipt, cash reconciliation, or customer service; prepares weekly schedules for proper floor coverage.
- Models sales techniques and communicates product knowledge; assists customers in locating merchandise based on their needs.
- Builds customer loyalty through clienteling and wardrobing.
- Maintains standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed.
- Participates in visual merchandising directives including store sets and replenishment.
- Assists in developing store staff; interprets KPI reports; provides coaching and feedback for performance evaluations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Preferred: 2+ years retail or sales management experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel within the district.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of store operations.
- Physical ability to stand, maneuver, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform related tasks.
- Reliable attendance and flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays.
