Job summary

SPX Cooling Technologies is seeking a summer intern for 2027 to support customer relationships, analyze sales data, and drive initiatives impacting revenue growth. Open to students in Business, Marketing, Sales, or Communications, this role offers exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and mentorship from experienced sales professionals.

The internship includes paid compensation and housing stipends for students not local to the Kansas City area, with a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong organization and multitasking abilities.
Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

Assist with maintaining and updating the sales CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot), ensuring accuracy of customer data and sales pipeline information.
Support the development of sales presentations, proposals, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct customer and market research, helping to identify new opportunities and benchmark performance against competitors.
Partner with sales representatives and managers to track leads, monitor order progress, and follow up on customer inquiries.
Assist in coordinating customer meetings, webinars, and other sales-related events.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service) on initiatives that support the sales process.
