Job summary

Kautex, part of Textron, is seeking a Sales internship in Troy, MI. You will review contracts, assist in business development, and help forecast sales while tracking project cash flow. This on-site role offers diverse exposure in a global automotive supplier environment.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Sales, Finance, or Marketing with strong communication and MS Office skills, plus a willingness to learn and manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sales, Finance, Accounting, Marketing.
• Prior automotive industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage multifaceted projects alongside day-to-day activities.
• Clear understanding of contractual conditions relating to sales of purchased goods and margins.
• StrongSales and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent telephone skills and computer knowledge with proficiency in database management and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Review new or amended contracts to confirm agreement to Kautex quotation (price, effective dates, capacity and terms).
• Assist Sales Management to define business development plans, market intelligence and sales forecasting.
• Ensure strong financial control (sales portion) of Projects - i.e. positive cash flow including forecast; early invoicing; financial tracking.
• Support development and tracking of project related Performance Improvement Action Plan goals.
• Track open issues with customers, including quotes and orders.
• Process new or amended prototype and service orders, including ensuring delivery as applicable.
• Any other duties as assigned.
