Job summary

FedEx internship program offers real-world experience through projects aligned with your field of study. This 10-week program runs June 7th to August 13th and will be hybrid in Detroit, MI.

As an intern you will present long-term solutions with significant impact, participate in networking and community events, and fulfill other duties as assigned. Open to currently enrolled students or recent graduates with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months) with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• No experience required.
• Ability to work productively and proactively, independently or in a team.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Verbal and written communication across business units.
• Sales CRM experience or business coursework is a plus.
• Availability for 40 hours/week over 10 weeks (June 7–Aug 13).

Job description

As a FedEx Intern, you will be working on projects gaining you valuable, real-world experience in a professional environment as it relates to your field of study.

Essential Functions

• Present and deliver long-term solutions that will have significant impacts to the business and/or customer experience.
• Participates in various networking and/or community service events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) at a college/university obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.

No experience required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work productively and proactively, both independently or as a part of a team.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills.

Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.

Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with across business units and to all levels of management.

Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

Sales experience, CRM usage, and coursework or certifications in Business would be considered a plus. Availability to work 40 hours/week for a 10-week program, June 7th - August 13th. Pay Transparency

Salary is $25/hour for undergraduates and $30/hour for graduates. A $2,000 stipend is available for those relocating over 50 miles for an onsite or hybrid internship or co-op experience.

This position will be hybrid in Detroit, MI and candidates must live within a 50-mile radius.
