Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Summer Sales Intern to gain hands-on experience in a professional sales organization across multiple UFP locations in the United States. You will shadow seasoned sales professionals, participate in customer visits, and learn product and operations fundamentals during a 10–12 week in-person internship.

You will assist with quoting, order entry, customer communications, and territory planning while exploring various facilities and markets.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in building a long-term sales career.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on product and operations training.
• Support sales, customer service, and production teams.
• Conduct customer visits and accompany sales representatives on sales calls.
• Assist with quoting, order entry, customer communications, and follow-up activities.
• Prospect and identify potential customers in assigned markets.
• Conduct market research and gather competitive intelligence.
• Utilize CRM tools to document customer interactions and sales opportunities.
• Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate UFP products and solutions.
• Partner with sales professionals to develop territory growth plans and account strategies.
• Visit multiple UFP facilities to understand manufacturing and operational processes.
• Complete a capstone project focused on a customer, market, or sales opportunity and present recommendations to leadership.
