Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a high-energy Sales Intern for a 10–12 week summer program across multiple UFP locations in the United States. The internship features in-person training, field visits, and rotations through facilities to build a foundation in B2B sales.

You will shadow seasoned sales professionals, engage with customers, support quoting, and participate in market research and territory planning. Housing stipends may be available.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong communication and customer-interaction skills.
• Ability to travel to multiple UFP facilities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on product and operations training.
• Support sales, customer service, and production teams.
• Conduct customer visits and accompany sales representatives on sales calls.
• Assist with quoting, order entry, customer communications, and follow-up activities.
• Prospect and identify potential customers in assigned markets.
• Conduct market research and gather competitive intelligence.
• Participate in customer presentations, facility tours, and business reviews.
• Utilize CRM tools to document customer interactions and sales opportunities.
• Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate UFP products and solutions.
• Partner with sales professionals to develop territory growth plans and account strategies.
• Visit multiple UFP facilities to understand manufacturing and operational processes
• Complete a capstone project focused on a customer, market, or sales opportunity and present recommendations to leadership.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing or related field
